In order for you to understand about our Flower Arranging Studio/Workshop/Floral Design lesson at CFAA (California Flower Art Academy), we are pleased to provide you with the following information. Class schedule is subject to change depending on the number of students. Please check with our school before sign up/enrollment just for safety sake.
1) Class Schedule for English Speaking Students:
A. San Jose Main Class:
Every Sunday: Morning Class only(10:00am-12:30pm)
Every Tuesday: Morning (10:00-12:30) Evening (5:00pm-7:30 OR 5:30-8:00)
Every Wednesday: Morning Class only (10:00am to 12:30pm)
B. San Francisco(Burlingame) Extension Class:
Every Friday: Morning Class only (10:00am-12:30pm)
Every Saturday: Morning (10:00am-12:30pm) Afternoon (1:30pm-4:00pm)
Considering the number of students who belong to each class, we may change the
class schedule from time to time. Therefore please contact us before enrollment to confirm the latest lesson schedule just in case.
2) Time Schedule:
Since our school adopts “tailor made” instructions with “person to person” training, the time schedule for each student may be different. Although the class has plural number of students at the same time, he/she can be well monitored by instructor about the progress of training. He/she can pick up the most convenient time slot of about 75 minutes during the above-mentioned class schedule. Whenever a student wants to join us, he/she can start training at anytime. In order to complete/finish each program, it is necessary to attend the minimum required number of lessons as follows:
A. Introductory Program: 2 units(1 unit consists of 1 lesson of about 75 minutes)
B. Ikebana Short Program: 2 units (1 unit consists of 1 lesson of about 75 minutes)
C. One day seminar: 3 units (1 unit consists of 1 lesson of about 75 minutes)
D. Elementary Course: 12 units (1 unit consists of 1 lesson of about 75 minutes)
E. Intermediate Course: 18 units(1 unit consists of 1 lesson of about 75 minutes)
F. Advanced Course: 21 units (1 unit consists of 1 lesson of about 75 minutes)
G. Instructor Course: 29 units (1 unit consists of 1 lesson of about 75 minutes)
4) Tuition and Flower Materials Fee:
All the price indications introduced on the internet, blog, search engine, directory and our own website include tuition and flower materials fee only. The fee for certificate, examination/test (if necessary), tools/devices/utensils such as container, vase and scissors must be purchase if students must bring them back home.
The fee for tuition and flower materials is different from program to program as follows.
Introductory Program: $89.00
Ikebana Short Program: $98.00
One Day Seminar: $150.00
Table Arrangement Program: $150.00
Elementary Course: $390 (covering 12 designs)

Wedding Ceremony Arrangement Course: $169.00

5) Certificate Fee:
Students who have successfully finished each course can request for the official certificate. In order for a school to issue a certificate, it is necessary for a student to take examination so that the school can evaluate the designing skills of each student. Therefore it is necessary for a student to pay the fees of certificate, examination, flower materials and any other related nuisance fee etc etc. We recommend you to check with instructor about the certificate related fee before enrollment if necessary.
6) Admission Fee:
Students do not have to pay any admission fee when newly joining a class.
7) Advance Payment of Tuition and Materials Fee:
In view of the fact that some students do not show up in the class room at the appointed time, we take the liberty of asking students to pay the tuition (as well as materials fee) in advance at the time of making the appointment(s) of lessons. Upon our receipt of your payment by check, we will book the space for your lesson(s).
