Japanese Ikebana Arrangement Course From $210

For people who are interested in Japanese Traditional Culture

If you are interested in learning Japanese traditional cultures, we recommend you to learn Ikebana Arrangement which requires not only skills and techniques for arranging flowers but also needs a good manner and traditional spirit of Japanese cultures. We offer courses from Elementary to Advanced Level. Since Ikebana arrangement often uses Kenzan (frog: needlepoint holder) made of metal for holding flowers and other elements, it requires lots of experiences until a student has completely mastered the floral arrangements. When it comes to decorating flowers for business purpose at hotels, events or weddings whatsoever, IKEBANA is not very practical and recommendable. Ikebana is  highly recommended for people who purely wish to learn Japanese traditional cultures with profound beauties. If you are looking for opportunities of doing business by making the best use of your skills and techniques in flower arrangements, we recommend you to learn European or American style of flower arrangement which does not use "Kenzan". Instead we use floral foam called "Oasis" made of chemical foam which looks like sponge and it is much easier even for beginners to arrange flowers. It is fully up to you which type you choose, either Japanese floral design called "Ikebana" or European/American style of floral designs which are very popular now. Here is information about recommendable two courses as follows. The lesson fee shown below does not include the fee for buying Kenzan (needlepoint holder) and Suiban (shallow type container). To buy these items, it will cost about $50. If you already took a lesson per Ikebana Short Seminar Program, you can use these items which you got at this short seminar. If you have your own Kenzan or Suiban, you can bring them to the classroom:

A. Ikebana Arrangement Elementary Course:Seven designs (It takes about 75 minutes to make one design): $210 to attend all the lessons for a course.(The fee includes tuition and flower materials. But the fee for certificate, testing fee for a certificate and flower materials for such a test  are separate)

B. Ikebana Arrangement Intermediate Course:Seven designs (It takes about 75 minutes to make one design): $245 to attend all the lessons for the course.(The fee includes tuition and flower materials, But the fee for certificate, testing fee for a certificate and flower materials for such test are separate).

(4) Fee for exam and certificate:
The fee for a certificate and final exam for obtaining a certificate is not included in the above price and shall be separately charged.
